The Power of Love  is a song co-written and originally recorded by American singer  Jennifer Rush  in 1984. It has been covered by several artists, most notably by  Air Supply ,  Celine Dion  and  Laura Branigan . Rush's original version, released in her native United States in late 1984 and in Europe during 1985, reached number one on the  UK Singles Chart  in October 1985 and became the biggest-selling single of the year in that country. It also topped the charts in several other European countries, as well as Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. Dion's version peaked at number one in the United States, Canada and Australia in 1994. The song has been translated into several languages, becoming a pop standard. " Chain Reaction " is an  R&B  song, sung by  Diana Ross , and written by the  Bee Gees . The track was released on Ross's 1985 album  Eaten Alive , and as a single twice - in 1985 and again in 1986 According to the Gibbs’ biography, the brothers had initial reservations about offering the song to Ross in case it was too Motown-like for her. The single became Ross's second No. 1 hit in the  UK Singles Chart . The song also hit No. 1 in Australia, also reaching the top of the charts in Ireland and Zimbabwe. In  New Zealand , it peaked at No. 3 and also made the top 5 in South Africa. In 1993, the song broke the UK top 20 again (also breaking the top 40 in the  Republic of Ireland  and France) when it was re-released to commemorate her 30th anniversary in show business. Freddie Mercury's mesmerising performance with Queen at Wembley Stadium is one of the most enduring memories of Live Aid. Now the band's 1985 performance of We Will Rock You has been crowned the most iconic festival moment of all time.
