I DONT LIKE MONDAYS by the Boomtown Rats

Although released in late 79 this massive hit was sent as one of the biggest hits of the 80s I Don't Like Mondays  is a song by Irish new wave group  The Boomtown Rats  about the  1979 Cleveland Elementary School shooting  in San Diego. It was released in 1979 as the lead single from their third album,  The Fine Art of Surfacing . The song was a number one  single  in the  UK Singles Chart  for four weeks during the summer of 1979,  and ranks as the sixth biggest hit of the UK in 1979. Take It on the Run  is the fifth track on the  REO Speedwagon  album  Hi Infidelity . It was released as a single in  1981  and reached number five on the  Billboard  Hot 100  chart.  It also reached number 19 in the  UK Singles Chart.  The song was written by lead guitarist  Gary Richrath . "Take It on the Run" was the follow-up single behind the group's number one hit, " Keep on Loving You ". The single went  gold  on April 17, 1981. " Down Under " is a song recorded by Australian  rock  band  Men at Work . It was originally released in 1980 as the  B-side  to their first local single titled "Keypunch Operator", released before the band signed with  Columbia Records . Both early songs were written by the group's co-founders,  Colin Hay  and  Ron Strykert . " Lambada ", also known as " Chorando Se Foi (Lambada) " or " Llorando Se Fue (Lambada) " (both meaning 'crying [he/she] went away' in Portuguese and Spanish, respectively), is a song recorded by French-Brazilian pop group  Kaoma . It featured guest vocals by  Brazilian  vocalist  Loalwa Braz , and was released as the first single from Kaoma's debut album  Worldbeat . The video, filmed on Cocos beach in the city of  Trancoso , in the state of  Bahia , Brazil, featured the Brazilian child duo  Chico & Roberta . If you loved 80s TV programs and loved 80s music hits then you will only remember FAME  by IRENE CARA. " Fame " is a  pop  song, written by  Michael Gore  (music) and  Dean Pitchford  (lyrics)  A nd released in 1980, that achieved chart success as the theme song to the  Fame  film  and  TV series . The song was performed by  Irene Cara , who played the role of Coco Hernandez in the original film. It was also her debut  single  as a  recording artist . The song won the  Academy Award for Best Original Song  in 1980,  and the  Golden Globe Award  the same year.
